Wow, I am a bit surprised to have found anyone here. All I did was "Google" Gotwalt afer watching a segment on 60 Minutes on heritage. OK, here goes Gotwalts. I am just curious. My father, Clarence Alden was adopted. He was a Gotwalt to begin with. I do not know the reasons why he was given up to be an Alden but he was. He has been gone from us, his 3 daughters and his wife of 54 years, Helen, for over 10 years. I am the youngest of his girls and I am the most curious of all of us. I am still my fathers girl at 56. Sounds so odd, but I am the gypsy my father was. He was wonderful. Looked at life easily, with little stress, at its wonderment. Anyway, like I said, I am just curious because he never really discussed this with us.........why I was not raised a Gotwalt. Does anyone of you out there know of anything about Clarence Gotwalt, adopted out to the Aldens? He was raised in Michigan. I just would like to know more....about my real relatives. Thanks for anything...............
